Hoover PTA strives to positively impact the Hoover Community’s lives by providing enriching programs and activities throughout the school year.
Our By-Laws are in accordance with the Mission Statement of the California State PTA, which states:
“The mission of the California State PTA is to positively impact the lives of all children and families by representing our members and empowering and supporting them with skills in advocacy, leadership, and communication.”
(California State PTA Board of Managers, July 2007).
In addition to the above statement, Hoover PTA prioritizes its community’s social and academic well being.
The Hoover PTA’s community is comprised of Parents and their extended families, Teachers, Students and the Hoover Staff. They all come together under one organization (the Hoover PTA) to physically, spiritually, and financially help support and promote Herbert Hoover Elementary programs & its events. The Hoover PTA serves as a cooperative setting to bring parents and teachers together to ensure open communication and understanding of the school program.
Herbert Hoover Elementary is a PAUSD “Choice School”. Therefore, the Hoover students live in various Palo Alto neighborhoods. This is the biggest driving factor and why Hoover heavily relies on its PTA organization to help unit and build a very strong, nurturing and proud Hoover PTA community. Herbert Hoover Elementary has always had a big interest of community building activities and parallels the California State PTA and National PTA’s sense of PTA values!
